Our Heritage in Saddlery
From Craftsmanship to Community
Our story begins in 1977 when co-founder Paul began training as a saddler. After mastering his craft, he launched his own saddlery business, hand-making a variety of equestrian products.
But Paul’s passion extended beyond the workbench. He also trained point-to-pointers and later became one of the UK’s youngest holders of a National Hunt training permit at just 21. These early years laid the foundation for Hatton Park Saddlery’s values: quality, tradition, and a love for all things horse-related.
A Family Passion, From Bromyard to Ludlow
In 2012, Paul’s son Joe got his first pony, Sheepy, and the family's passion for horses grew even stronger. That same year, the family moved to Hatton Park in Bromyard—a name that would later inspire the business you know today.
After college, Joe took the reins and brought the business online. Stocking their first range from Shires Equestrian, he grew the catalogue brand by brand, listing products in his spare time, packing orders from the kitchen table, and navigating stock piles throughout the house.
A New Chapter: Our Saddlery Shop in Ludlow
By the end of 2024, the business had outgrown the family home. Hatton Park Saddlery moved into a dedicated equestrian store and warehouse at:

This new space allowed us to expand our stock, improve service, and offer customers the ability to shop both in-store and online.
